The Harris Family (aka The Harris Bunch) is a Bluegrass/Country/Gospel family singing group from Hendersonville, TN. The group is comprised of Marty Harris, Paula Harris, Mckenzi Harris, Kameryn Harris, and Emma Grace Colston.
In 2003 Marty Harris co-founded the group Called Out Quartet. He sang Tenor with the group until 2008 when he had to leave the group due to some serious vocal problems. Marty took a full year off from singing and found himself playing piano a lot during that time…the piano became his voice, while his was healing. In 2009 he returned to the group as their pianist, and then was asked to take over the lead vocals in 2011. In December of 2013 Marty felt that his time with the group had come to an end, and resigned from his position with the group. For many years Marty has felt a leading to start a family group, and in November of 2014 The Harris Family made its debut at Called Out Quartet’s annual Southern Gospel Celebration in Pigeon Forge, TN. Since that time their busy family schedules have kept them from pursuing this calling, but they plan to begin recording their first CD in August 2015. They also have begun booking dates, with their first “Official” booking as “The Harris Family” schedule for September 13, 2015.
